"Tell the chef, the beer is on me."
#anti roma sentiment #anti-semitism #holocaust tw
i’m beyond pissed off and furious with all the people trying to excuse nicki minaj’s absolutely disgusting anti-roma anti-semitic bullshit in her newest video with things that range from vaguely offensive platitudes to downright terrifying disgusting statements
i mean i was always aware that people who pride themselves on being oh so socially conscious still don’t give a fuck about romani and jewish people for the most part but everytime i’m faced with the evidence it’s still a slap in the face
things i have verbatim heard/read people say about the video in question
maybe she wasn’t trying to appropriate nazi imagery and was just going for a general dictator look! it could be about mao!
they literally modeled her initials on the swastika and copied the look of nazi uniforms. when lil wayne raps “in the chamber” a gas mask flashes on the screen. this is blatant.
okay but we don’t need to condemn her for that! this video is problematic yes, but she has still done good things!
(that post also literally featured the phrase ‘cultural appopriation of nazi imagery’ LMAO)
this isn’t just a little ~problematic~ slip up. she didn’t say something a bit rude. she triviliased, exploited and shat all over the genocide and persecution of still extremely marginalised groups for shock value and profit. i refuse to let people tell me i’m not allowed to be furious at this just because she’s done other things that are good.
i don’t owe nicki minaj shit.
and using problematic to describe this is more than insulting. it’s not merely problematic. don’t dress this incident up in words that don’t mean anything just because you can’t bring yourself to call your fav anti-semitist and anti-romani.
it’s sexist to blame nicki minaj for this because other male rappers were also involved. if you don’t mention them everytime you talk about nicki you are being misogynist
don’t you dare derail this. don’t you dare use sj buzzwords to paint the people who are rightfully feeling angry and betrayed in a bad light.
you are so transparently not trying to broaden the discussion by talking about this, you are trying to shut it down.
you are using the valid issue of misogyny in the music industry as a weapon to shut up romani and jewish people for criticising your fav and that’s beyond disgusting.
yes, drake and lil wayne were also involved in it. but it’s nicki’s name that’s attached to the song and video.
nicki is using nazi imagery because she wants to dominate white people and the holocaust is when white people faced genocide
i don’t even know what to say to this. this is a level of lacking empathy that is genuinely terrifying.
the holocaust is not a gimmick you get to use to push your shitty ass agenda or to spice up your fucking music video.
it’s a real thing that happened to real people, merely sixty years ago.
every single time it comes up it’s a violent reminder to me, my family and every single person who lived through the horrors of it that people hate us enough to attempt to literally wipe us out.
romani and jewish people were forced to wear armbands classifying them as social outcasts. they were evicted from their homes, they were evicted from their countries, they were arrested and taken away from their families.
in 1933 the government passed a law that called for all of them to be forcefully sterilized so they wouldn’t “spread” anymore than they already had.
they were rounded up and forced on trains filled with enough people to make it literally impossible to move. they were sent to labour camps, split up from the people they love, and had everything they owned taken away from them.
they were forced to undress and given rags to wear even when it was winter, they had their heads shaved, they had Js for jew or Zs for zigeuner which is the german word for the slur gypsy branded into their skin, and they were sent off to live in barracks that housed so many people that some of them asphyxiated from lack of space at night.
they had to undergo forced labour. they had to undergo beatings and rape and horrifying violence and medical experiments without any sort of anaesthetic. they were murdered by the thousands and left to rot in piles of bodies while their entire papertrail was destroyed so no one would ever even know they existed.
they methodically and very thoroughly attempted to wipe us completely from the face of the earth. and they very nearly succeeded. more than half of the european romani population was wiped out during the holocaust. if the war had ended a year later we might have been gone completely.
and they did this just because they could. and it wasn’t the first time that we suffered a genocide at the hands of the same group of people. and we know it won’t be the last.
because we’re still violently persecuted in the same countries. because romani people are the number one group to be targeted for hate crimes in a majority of countries in europe and jewish people are close behind. because we are still evicted from our homes and countries, still denied food, housing, jobs, an education and health care just because of our ethnicity in the same places that housed the concentration camps that killed us.
this isn’t just some vague event in the past. it isn’t over and done with. the people who lived through it are for the most part still alive. their families are still alive. their friends are still alive. and we are still suffering from the same hatred and the same persecution.
you can sit back comfortably and forget it happened but i am reminded every single time someone calls me a gypsy, every single time i see another romani person killed or beaten in the news, every single time i see anti-semitic hate crimes being brushed off because “it isn’t a problem anymore”, that at any point in time this could happen again to me, to my friends, to my family, because people haven’t stopped hating us.
defending the use of nazi imagery that is so hugely traumatizing to such a big number of people just because you don’t want to face that your fav is anti-semitist and antiziganist speaks to a disturbing lack of empathy, and quite honestly, makes you an anti-semitist and anti-roma right along with her.

do not let the word “problematic” even touch your goddamn lips when you are discussing specific acts of racism, anti-semitism, transphobia, misogyny, homophobia. do not gloss over that shit. say what you fucking mean, do not use a sugar coated catchword because you don’t want to put the word “racist” next to your fave’s name.
[[I don’t like how Lavender Brown was changed from being a black girl to a white girl throughout the movies. As soon as she moved into a main role in the movies, her race was changed. Why couldn’t Ron kiss a black woman. ]]
So many racists on this thread whining about how Lavender wasn’t described until after PoA was filmed - SHE’S NEVER PHYSICALLY DESCRIBED AT ALL. The recasting was racist, full stop.

200 years of peace. We haven’t had 200 days of peace since this nightmarish nation began.
Oh, no, dear people. NO.
Here’s a photo from one of the Swedish Pride Parades (while white nationalists sabotaged the LGBTQ of color gathering at Stockholm Pride):
Alexander Bard, a popular public figure and “activist” declared on national broadcast SVT just last year, "If I can refer to myself as a faggot then I should be able to call black people n*ggers.”
Even in “progressive” academic circles, racism is extreme & violent, like the recent public re-enactment of a slave auction at Sweden’s prestigious Lund University, then abusing one of their own PROFESSORS (Jallow Momadou) with death threats against him and his family while plastering this poster around campus:
[Translation: This is our runaway n*gger slave and he answers to the name Jallow Momodou. If you should find him please call this number.]
Renowned scholar and activist Tobias Hübinette was literally arrested for “reverse racism” after publishing a paper on colonialism in Asia through one of Sweden’s “liberal” universities.
"But WAIT," you cry, "Racism here IS JUST A JOKE. You’re just citing ISOLATED INCIDENTS that DON’T AMOUNT TO A BIG DEAL. SWEDEN AS A COUNTRY IS NOT RACIST OR VIOLENT"
lol. Sweden has a higher disparity in employment vs unemployment between “natural-born” citizens (read: white) and “immigrants” (POC, even if your family’s been naturalized for generations) than any other country in the industrialized world.Sweden trafficks and imports (oh sorry, “rescues”) more Third World children in proportion to its own population than any other Western country in the world.
Sweden pretty much INVENTED eugenics and Nazi science on an institutional level with the Swedish Institute of Racial Biology in addition to all its fuckwits who constructed whiteness and by extent supremacy (Carl Linnaeus invented race classification in the mid-1700s, Anders Retzius invented the skull/cephalic index that became the principal method for racial science itself in the 1850s).
Sweden commits genocide and ethnocide against the indigenous Sami people of Scandinavia, and has done so for over a century.
Swedish police register children as young as 2-years-old just for being of Romani ethnicity.
Sweden is so fucking oppressive and genocidal that it even sterilized tens of thousands of its own citizens. Throughout the 20th century and even the 21st, if you were mentally ill, disabled, or trans, not even white privilege could save you from being sterilized against your will.
"200 years of peace" LOL sure, if you’re white, abled, neurotypical, cis, not indigenous and not Romani!
Don’t be fooled by this blatantly false propaganda. Many of the UN “peacekeeping” missions Sweden did during the 20th century involved rape, genocide, and child trafficking, especially during the Korean War. To quote Hübinette himself:
“After a pro-Nazi war history and a long tradition of race thinking, self-righteous Sweden after 1945 wanted to be the paradise for human rights, democracy and anti-racism[…] In a feat of national branding, ‘good Sweden’ was promoted as more tolerant and liberal than any other country and people in the world[…] Sweden imagined itself as a non-racist and post-racial utopia with no colonial past[…]
We’ll leave y’all with this:
That’s not some rightwing nationalist/neo-Nazi (though lord knows the country still has plenty of those), that’s culture minister Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth and her equally leftist, “antiracist” colleagues.
There’s your post-racial utopia!
Love and raindrops,
Mod I, Bastard HQ
This makes me so upset and angry
Literally what thE FUCK IS WRONG WITH WHITE PEOPLE
YOU SAY WE ALL BLEED RED BUT YOU DONT TREAT US LIKE HUMANS FUCKING HELL :’(
HERE’S MY PLAN TO PROMOTE CONDOM USE:
1. Create a cartoon, aimed at young children, where all the characters are adorable talking condoms. The cartoon is otherwise completely innocent and non-sexual, focusing on positive messages of friendship and caring.
3. Now a bunch of grown men wanna fuck condoms
I just really hope that everyone who is criticizing the antisemitic imagery in Nicki’s new video that you also are criticizing Drake, Chris Brown, and Wayne
Seeing as how not only were they involved, but Wayne is the founder of Young Money, and he had a lot to do with how the video was produced
Because if you’re only criticizing Nicki, maybe you want to examine the misogyny that’s allowing you to do so
I literally don’t even know what to say about Drake right now because he IS jewish so what the ever loving fuck was he thinking getting involved in this at all
If you are a man who thinks it’s funny to make misogynist jokes purely to make your female friends uncomfortable/angry, then you are a misogynist. It is not “just a joke.” You literally are finding humor in the discomfort and dehumanization of women. You are not helping, you are not making satire. You are just being misogynist.
